⁸ So Tamar went to the house of Amnon her brother, where he was lying. She took the dough, kneaded it, and made the cakes before him. Then she baked them. ⁹ Then she took the baking tray and served the cakes to him, but he refused to eat.

Amnon said, “Send everyone away.” So they all left him. ¹⁰ Then Amnon said to Tamar, “Bring the food into the bedroom that I may eat from your hand.” So Tamar took the cakes that she had made and brought them in the bedroom to Amnon her brother.
